Filmed from the back of a motorbike, 'Circulate Solitary' traces a journey through a part of Ho Chi Minh City where circulation dominates and place is divided. Here, roads leading northward converge with bridges and the metro, creating a space shaped by the logic of urban planning yet stripped of the qualities that make the city vibrant and alive—its communities.

'Seam' explores the fleeting experiences of the motorbike passenger, capturing the peripheral vision of their journey through direct recording. Through layering and colour manipulation, the film reflects not only how the city is perceived, but also how the city itself perceives movement within its spaces.

‘Driftlight 2’ is a film drawn from a nighttime journey through the streets of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). In a city where the motorbike is the most common form of transport, motorbike taxis play a vital role in the urban mobility network. Riding pillion offers a unique perspective—one that immerses the passenger in the city's intense activity and layered atmospheres.

‘In the Wake of Light’ is a film that captures Ho Chi Minh City from the unique perspective of a motorbike journey, revealing the fleeting scenes and sensory atmospheres of the city through motion blur and colour tinting. Filmed at a 90° angle to the direction of travel, the work reframes everyday movement as a cultural experience, highlighting motorbike travel as a form of intangible urban heritage. Recently exhibited at iNVENTX in Malaysia, the film received a Gold Award for its innovative approach to documenting the city’s evolving urban landscape.

‘The Other City’ is an experimental film that explores Ho Chi Minh City from the perspective of a motorbike passenger. Filmed as part of my contribution to the River Cities Network research theme, the work examines urban space through movement, perception, and shifting perspectives. The film is a nighttime recording of a motorbike journey through the northern end of District 7, documenting the moments before and after crossing the Tẻ Canal, which separates District 4 from District 7. This canal, a significant waterway in the city’s evolving landscape, serves as both a physical and conceptual threshold, marking transitions between different urban atmospheres and rhythms of daily life.

‘Electrostatic’ is a mesmerizing one-shot journey through the vibrant streets of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The film immerses viewers in a continuous, uninterrupted sequence that transcends linear time, creating a rich sensory experience that responds dynamically to color and enveloping darkness. In an era dominated by digital connectivity, "Electrostatic" explores the profound human unease with the absence of light.

‘Tan Quy Market’ is a cinematic exploration that delves into the heart of Vietnamese culture through the bustling life of a traditional market. The market, a cornerstone of Vietnamese society, is portrayed as a vibrant hub of human interaction, cultural exchange, and communal bonding. This film captures the market's essence, illustrating how it embodies the spirit of being human in its most fundamental form.
